Ginger’s hair adornments. Ginger makes hats and hair decorations. Her work is pretty exceptional. And her hats and other pieces are sustainably created. You can see more of Ginger’s work on her Web site.

For this shoot we were trying to get some images that could be used as an advertisement/article in a new bridal magazine. I think we got some shots that displayed her work quite nicely. Not to mention good shots of Ginger! As soon as I can get a copy of the article with photos, I’ll post an excerpt.

I really enjoyed working with Ginger on this shoot. We took her down to the Denton square for some time at the old courthouse. There was lots of fun scattering locusts from our chosen shooting location. My lovely wife Angela acted as my assistant, and both the ladies were troopers about the bugs. There were quite a few people out on this morning enjoying the best spots, but I think we did pretty good. As usual, the Texas morning sun heated things up quite nicely, but we were able to get some wonderful light bounced into our little alcove. After we had basked in the reflected glow of the sun for long enough, we headed back to my house for some cooling off and some indoor shots.

I’m really hoping that Ginger was able to get some good use out of these shots and generate some business from the bridal magazine. Even if the magazine doesn’t pan out, I think we got some really good images for Ginger. I’d really like to work with Ginger again in the future, and do some well-planned shoots of her and her work, and see if we can grow together.
